A success mantra that has proven to be highly beneficial for me is being proactive. When you are proactive, you use whatever resources you have to find a solution to a problem rather than complaining about it or waiting for others to solve it for you. In his book The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People: Powerful Lessons in Personal Change, author Stephen R. Covey talks about the importance of this attribute. The proactive approach to a mistake is to acknowledge it instantly, correct and learn from it. Using this success mantra, you won’t sit with a problem but look for solutions. Success requires being proactive and not waiting for life to come to you; it means you are on the offence and not a defence. You are active and not passive.
